Mr. Abdul Wahab Ahmad, who serves as the Convener of the Standing Committee on IT Infrastructure Development and Trainings at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated as Chief Guest in a seminar for CSP Officers that centered on Industrial Revolution 5.0. Throughout the session, he presented a comprehensive overview of Industrial Revolution 5.0, highlighting the integration of humans and robots within the industrial realm.
He delved into the symbiotic relationship between humans and robots in this phase of industrial evolution. During this period, robots possess the ability to communicate with humans, contributing to the optimization of work processes and enhancing overall productivity.
At the heart of Industry 5.0 lies the utilization of collaborative robots and artificial intelligence, ushering in a human-centric approach to digital transformation. This paradigm underscores a triple-bottom-line perspective, considering economic, environmental, and societal impacts. It incorporates the ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) framework, to achieve a balanced perspective, in contrast to the traditionally technology-driven and economically focused decisions.
Looking ahead, the concept of collaborative robots, often called “cobots,” is anticipated to play a pivotal role. These robots are specifically designed to collaborate with humans, executing repetitive tasks safely without the need for conventional safeguarding fences. The envisioned future landscape of the industry portrays a harmonious collaboration between human and robotic capabilities.
